The first conference on the Barcelona Declaration on Open Research Information took place in Paris on Sep 23–24. The euroCRIS President Jan Dvořák was among the approx 80 on-site participants. Representatives of institutions, funders, national bodies, and research information e-infrastructures were all present and shared their views on the DORI initiative.

The international conference "Open Libraries: Open Science, Open Learning" will be held Sep 30-Oct 3, 2024 by the Spanish National University of Distance Education (UNED) Library in Madrid. The event programme includes the talk "Research Information Management Systems in Support of Open Science and Open Access" to be delivered by the euroCRIS Technical Secretary to open the first session on Tue Oct 1st.

The programme for the Sep 23-24, 2024 Paris Conference on Open Research Information has already been announced. This 2-day event for signatories and supporters of the Barcelona Declaration on Open Research Information (DORI) of which euroCRIS is an official supporter, will be hosted by Sorbonne University in Paris.

CRIS2024 conference papers submitted to editor

As of Fri Aug 30th, the 33 papers to be included in the CRIS2024 conference proceedings have been shared with the editor of the special issue of Procedia Computer Science where they will be published in the Autumn. A webpage on the euroCRIS site will keep authors updated on the progress towards publication. The next step will be the feedback received from the editor on any formatting issues in these papers.

euroCRIS at FECYT Workshop on funding Open Science infrastructures

Several editions of the María de Guzmán (MdG) call issued by the Spanish Foundation of Science and Technology (FECYT) have provided funding for the development of e-infrastructure at Spanish research-perfoming organisations as a means to support Open Science. This covers both Open Access repositories and CRIS systems. A workshop will be held in Madrid on Tue 9 July to discuss this area of activity with some of the funded proposals in different editions of the MdG call.
