A message received on Oct 27 by some corresponding authors for the CRIS2022 papers to be published in the special issue of Procedia Computer Science for the CRIS2022 conference proceedings states they have already entered production. These messages include a request to fill in the Rights & Access form the publisher requires for the process to move on. In these forms there is an option to select a CC BY 4.0 licence that authors are encouraged to choose.
The paper "Putting FAIR principles in the context of research information: FAIRness for CRIS and CRIS for FAIRness" co-authored by Joachim Schöpfel, University of Lille and euroCRIS Board member, has been awarded the best paper prize at the 14th International Conference on Knowledge Management and Information Systems (KMIS2022) held Oct 24-26 in Valletta, Malta.
As the current euroCRIS Board approaches the end of its term (1 Jan 2021-31 Dec 2022) a number of Board members have already expressed their intention to step down for the next term 2023-2024. This means that same as in 2018 and 2020, a new round of elections will be carried out towards the end of this year in which all paying euroCRIS members will have the opportunity to vote. More information on the process will be shared as developments take place, but in the meantime any euroCRIS member interested in being a candidate for the next Board may apply by contacting euroCRIS at eurocris [at] eurocris.org.
The Pure International Conference 2022 will be held Nov 2-3 in Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto, Portugal. This 8th edition of the conference will take place as an on-site-only event and its programme features plenty of recent developments around the use of CRIS systems. euroCRIS will once again be represented in the programme, with Board member Eiken Friedrichsen presenting the ongoing work on theses at her University of Kiel via their Pure-based institutional CRIS.
The Expert Finder Systems International Forum will return as an in-person event next year. This new edition will be held April 5-6, 2023 at the University of Miami, Florida. A call for proposals has now been put out whose submission deadline is Oct 24, 2022, at 11:50 pm EDT (UTC-4). The Autumn 2022 Strategic Membership Meeting will be held at the Van der Valk hotel in Nijmegen (Netherlands) from Nov 30 to Dec 2 later this year. More information on the event will soon be shared via the euroCRIS members' mailing list.
