SMM2025 Izmir programme available

The SMM2025 programme has already been made available on the event website. This Autumn 2025 euroCRIS Strategic Membership Meeting will be held Nov 25-27 at the Izmir Institute of Technology in Urla/Izmir, Türkiye. The programme includes a comprehensive national session devoted to current developments in research information management and Open Science in Türkiye as well as a number of contributions from euroCRIS members and Strategic Partners like ORCID, OpenAIRE or COAR. Sessions devoted to the progress of the two working groups managed by euroCRIS, AI4RIS and CRISCROS, feature on the programme too.

The paper "Common Research Information Management from a European University Alliance Perspective" written by euroCRIS Board members Pablo de Castro, Jan Dvořák, Ognjen Orel and Joachim Schöpfel and presented at the EUNIS Congress 2025 held last June in Belfast has now been published. The EUNIS 2025 annual congress proceedings include other papers on CRIS systems and European University Alliances, in line with the event theme "Connecting communities and empowering creativity".

Article on euroCRIS SMM2024 panel discussion on research instruments and facilities

The article "Expanding the research graph underpinning the implementation of Open Science: research instruments and facilities" was published on Fri Nov 7th in the Scottish Journal of Open Research (SJOR). The paper, authored by the euroCRIS Technical Secretary, summarises the panel discussion held at the Autumn 2024 euroCRIS meeting at the INRAE in Paris on the inclusion of research equipment and facilities into the wider CERIF-based research graph. Some hints are provided on how the landscape may evolve to gradually capture this additional research entity and the side-benefits this could entail.

The Swedish Joint Data Project (GDP) releases its APIs

The Joint Data Project (GDP) launched by a number of Swedish research funders was presented earlier this year at the Spring membership meeting in Leuven. The project has now released its APIs together with the accompanying documentation. Most of the information is in Swedish only, but the diagram in dbdiagram on the GitHub-page contains translations to English.
