The preliminary programme for the May 19-22 CRIS2026 conference in Ponta Delgada (Azores, Portugal) is already available on the event website. This early version of the programme may still experience changes as the final confirmations are received for the titles and speaker for specific talks, but the structure should remain as it stands.
The eFIS project on Ethical Requirements for Research Information Systems is one of the six projects that have been awarded funding within the call issued by the German Ministry for Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) in 2025. Led from the Distance University in Hagen, the eFIS project seeks to investigate the ethical requirements of institutional CRIS. Particular attention will be devoted to issues such as transparency, fairness, data protection, and the responsible use of metrics. These aspects are crucial for the successful implementation, acceptance, and ethically sound operation of such systems.
