Since it's very early days at the beginning of the 2000s, euroCRIS has always been about promoting a conversation within the research information management community. This has traditionally happened via euroCRIS events, task forces and working groups.
At the time of writing (October 2024) there are two active working groups run under a euroCRIS banner:
- The CRISCROS Working Group for national and regional CRIS established as a result of the discussions held during the CRIS2022 Conference in Dubrovnik (Croatia). This WG aims to bring together representatives from organisations and projects operating or planning to establish a national or a regional research portal in order for them to discuss common challenges and opportunities for identifying best practices that can be reused across initiatives and countries
- The newly launched AI4CRIS Working Group aiming to discuss the impact of Artificial Intelligence on research information management workflows and their associated systems.
