Introducing the National/Regional Research Portals Working Group

A joint blog post by the RIS Synergy project team in Austria and euroCRIS has been published on Nov 25^th announcing the forthcoming launch of the National/Regional Research Portals Working Group during the euroCRIS Autumn 2022 Strategic Membership Meeting in Nijmegen. This new WG, to be jointly managed by the RIS Synergy team and euroCRIS, will bring together representatives from various national and regional CRIS in Europe and beyond to collaboratively discuss the workflows associated with these platforms.

Webinar for Spanish University Libraries on CRIS systems and their interoperability

A new euroCRIS webinar devoted to the Hércules project aimed to build a national CRIS in Spain will be held at 11am CET on Wed Nov 23rd. The session will be moderated by euroCRIS Board member Miguel Ángel Sicilia, will be conducted in Spanish language and will be specifically addressed to research libraries in Spain. The objective of the session – which will feature short presentations by Hércules project team members Reyes Hernández-Mora and José Tomás Palma – is to discuss system interoperability and information exchange mechanisms between the new national CRIS and the already existing institutional research portals at many Spanish universities.

CRIS2022 Conference proceedings published

On Nov 16th, 2022 the proceedings for the 15th International Conference on Current Research Information Systems (CRIS2022) have been published in special issue 211 of Procedia Computer Science. The special issue includes 31 papers for conference contributions that were delivered last May in Dubrovnik (Croatia).

CEPAL webinar on euroCRIS on Thu Nov 24th

Registration is already open for the Nov 24th webinar "euroCRIS: Infrastructure for Research Information Management and Open Science in Europe (and beyond)" to be hosted by CEPAL in Chile within their series of events on Open Science. euroCRIS President Sadia Vancauwenberg and Technical Secretary Pablo de Castro will jointly present this update on the activities of euroCRIS and the role of CERIF and CRIS systems in the implementation of Open Science.

Knowledge Graphs: euroCRIS at EOSC Symposium 2022

The EOSC Symposium 2022 will be held Nov 14-17 in Prague and euroCRIS will be represented in the event programme. Jan Dvořák, euroCRIS Board member and lead for the CERIF and CRIS Architectures Task Group will present the CERIF Graph within the "Supporting Open Science - A Knowledge Graph Research Infrastructure" session on Monday (Nov 14) afternoon.

Event website available for the Nijmegen Strategic Membership Meeting

The event website for the Autumn 2022 Strategic Membership meeting in Nijmegen is now live. The event programme on the website is still preliminary and will be finalised in the coming days. The #SMM2022Nijmegen will be held at the Van der Valk Hotel Nijmegen-Lent, for which there is a discount code on the SMM2022 website, but attendees may choose their preferred accommodation.
