On Sep 10-11, 2018, the EU-funded COST Action 'European Network for Research Evaluation in the Social Sciences and Humanities' (ENRESSH) will hold a workshop on national bibliographic databases at the ECOOM centre in the University of Antwerp.
The workshop aims to bring together people who are directly involved in the maintenance of national bibliographic databases in order to discuss current challenges in in data collection and processing, such as:
- How to identify scholarly publications
- How to integrate data from different sources
- How to check the accuracy of metadata for publication records
- How to organise collaboration with governmental bodies and/or authors of research outputs
The preliminary event programme includes contributions from many different European countries and linguistic environments. Also worth checking is the recently published ENRESSH project paper in 'Research Evaluation' analysing the results of their survey on national bibliographic databases.
