Slides for euroCRIS presentation at 2nd Ukrainian Open Science Conference

The presentation "The Role of URIS and Research Information Management Systems (RIMS) in the Implementation of Open Science" to be delivered by the euroCRIS Technical Secretary within the II International Conference "Open Science and Innovation in Ukraine 2023" is already available in the euroCRIS repository. Slides and session recording for euroCRIS webinar on web accessibility

The recording for the webinar on web accessibility and WCAG compliance held on Mon Oct 16th is already available here (please use this access code). The session saw a brief introduction by the euroCRIS President Jan Dvořák, followed by an overview by George Macgregor (University of Glasgow) and an examination of the process to make documents WCAG compliant by Łukasz Kobyliński (Sages). The description of this process included WCAG AI demos by Michał Olczyk and Antoni Marek, also from Sages.

euroCRIS webinar on "Accessibility and WCAG Compliance in Higher Education"

The Autumn series of euroCRIS webinars returns in 2023 with the Oct 16th webinar on accessibility and WCAG compliance in higher education. The webinar, coorganised with euroCRIS member Sages in Poland, will start at 11am CEST on Mon 16 Oct. A number of expert speakers will explore the relevance of web accessibility and the WCAG standards for the purpose of ensuring inclusiveness at Higher Education Institutions. This is a free event but registration is required.

euroCRIS at the Oct 5th, 2023 OpenLab Ecuador session on CRIS

On Thu Oct 5th the OpenLab in Ecuador will organise a session devoted to CRIS systems in Latin America from an open infrastructure perspective in which euroCRIS will be represented by its Technical Secretary. The 90-min session will be a panel discussion moderated by the OpenLab Director Francisco Silva Garcés with four CRIS experts in it: Diego Flórez from the VIVO-based AGROSAVIA institutional CRIS in Colombia, Claudia Córdova (CONCYTEC) as lead for the DSpace-CRIS-based PerúCRIS national CRIS, Washington Segundo (IBICT) as lead for the VIVO-based BrCris national CRIS and Pablo de Castro representing euroCRIS.

CfP for SMM2023 Pamplona issued

The call for proposals for contributions from euroCRIS members to the Autumn 2023 Strategic Membership Meeting to be held Nov 21-23 in Pamplona (Spain) was issued on Tue 26 Sep. The call is also open to non-members of euroCRIS but has first been sent out to our members. Please send your contributions to eurocris [at] eurocris.org. The deadline for the submission of proposals is 23:59 CEST on Sun 22 Oct, following which a preliminary programme will be added to the already available draft event website.

Updated euroCRIS Statutes filed with the Dutch KvK

The updated Dutch-language Statutes for the euroCRIS Vereniging were filed with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) as of Sep 19th and will be presented to the euroCRIS membership at the forthcoming Nov 22-23 Autumn 2023 Strategic Membership Meeting in Pamplona (Spain). The updated Statutes, which were certified by a Dutch notary on Sep 6th, provide the legal basis for the operation of the euroCRIS association and reflect the evolving practice in the running of the organisation.
