A new edition of the Seminar of Polish University Knowledge Bases is held Mar 22-24, 2023 and euroCRIS is present on the event programme again this year. A presentation on "Recent advances in CRIS interoperability" is to be delivered by the euroCRIS Technical Secretary on Fri Mar 24th. The talk will address the progress around CRIS interoperability taken place since last year's event including the launch of the NatResPort WG and recent developments in the area of PIDs.
The FAICORE4EOSC project was kicked-off in June 2022. The project is developing a set of core components for the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). One of its tasks aims to resolve the interoperability issues of research information and aggregate local and national CRIS information to the EOSC Core by using CERIF as a common data model. euroCRIS is a member of the project's Advisory Board and thereby, will be represented in the first FAIRCORE4EOSC plenary project meeting to be held Apr 17-19, 2023 in Kajaani, Finland.
Following the webinar on OpenAIRE compliance for CRIS managers held in Oct last year, a joint OpenAIRE/euroCRIS follow-up dissemination session on this topic is currently being prepared. Although open to any interested CRIS manager, the activity will be specifically addressed to national and regional CRIS teams represented in the recently launched NatResPort WG. Short contributions are expected to be delivered by reps from national CRIS platforms in the Netherlands and Finland that have already gone through the process of becoming OpenAIRE compliant. These will be followed by a discussion on the perceived benefits and the possible technical challenges involved in the process.
