The Spanish-language report "CRIS Systems and their Potential for Showcasing a Diverse Range of Research Outputs and for Promoting New Research Assessment Methods" ("Los sistemas CRIS, su potencial para visibilizar diversas formas de producción e impulsar nuevas modalidades de evaluación") has been recently published by Fernanda Beigel (CONICET/Universidad Nacional de Cuyo) on behalf of the Latin American Forum for Research Assessment (FOLEC). The report was presented at the July 1st FOLEC International Workshop on CRIS models in Europe and Latin America fostered by the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO). Among others, this event featured guest talks from euroCRIS President Sadia Vancauwenbergh and from former euroCRIS Board member Gunnar Sivertsen.

The report describes the potential uses of CRIS systems and explores its growing implementation at both a national and an institutional level in various countries in the region, proposing a gradual evolution towards an integrated regional Latin American CRIS. It has been published by CLACSO within the series "Towards a Transformation of Research Assessment Systems in Latin America/Caribbean: Tools to Promote New Assessment Policies".
