Results of the survey for attendees to the SMM Bratislava

33 responses were received to the survey that attendees to the recently held Strategic Membership Meeting in Bratislava were requested to fill in. Just over half the responses (17) came from first-time participants in a euroCRIS event. The feedback was altogether very positive and useful -- many thanks to all attendees who took the time to provide their responses!

The abstract 'Preliminary findings from the global Survey of Research Information Management Practices' submitted by Rebecca Bryant (OCLC), Anna Clements (U St Andrews & euroCRIS) and Pablo de Castro (U Strathclyde & euroCRIS) has now been accepted at the EARMA conference 2018 to be held in Brussels in April 2018.

euroCRIS feedback on the proposal for an open Persistent Institution Identifier Registry (openPIIR)

euroCRIS has now provided its feedback on the proposal for an open Persistent Institution Identifier Registry (openPIIR) launched last July by the ORG_ID Product Breakout Group. This is a suggestion to apply a hybrid approach of both staff-curated and organization-managed records to the creation and maintenance of Organisation IDs.

3rd Snowball Metrics Recipe book now published and available for download

The third recipe book for the Snowball Metrics academia-industry collaboration around research metrics has now been released. This new version, which includes its CERIFication, provides an update to previous communications in the area such as this "Snowball Metrics – providing a robust methodology to inform research strategy – but do they help?" delivered last year at the CRIS2016 Conference in St Andrews.
