The proposal for a pilot implementation of the OpenAIRE Guidelines for CRIS Managers on a first institutional CRIS platform has been selected for funding under the OpenAIRE call for services launched last December.
The bid submitted by euroCRIS proposed a project called METIS2OpenAIRE aiming to make OpenAIRE-compatible the METIS CRIS system at Radboud University Nijmegen. This will involve implementing the CERIF-XML application profile described in the updated OpenAIRE Guidelines for CRIS Managers – to be imminently released – onto this institutional CERIF-compliant platform so that it becomes able to deliver records to the OpenAIRE aggregation. The proposal also includes a collaboration with a number of external CRIS vendors in order to support their own effort towards achieving OpenAIRE compatibility. More details will be provided soon – watch this space.
