euroCRIS has taken part in our Strategic Partner EARMA's Annual Conference 2017 held earlier this week (Apr 24th-26th) in Valletta, Malta under the title "Negotiating Research: What is the Best Deal for Europe?".
euroCRIS was represented by its President Ed Simons in an event that brought together Research Office Managers from institutions in many different European countries to discuss topics like how to improve the rate of success of European project proposals, the impact of politics on the research agenda or the right timing for influencing the configuration of the forthcoming FP9 Research Framework Programme among many others.
A presentation on "What future for Open Access in Europe?" was also featured in the event programme by Board member and CRIS/IR interoperability TG leader Pablo de Castro (co-authored with Rob Johnson from Research Consulting Ltd).
John Donovan, the departing EARMA Board Chair, will host the forthcoming end-of-May euroCRIS Spring 2017 membership meeting at the Dublin Institute of Technology, whose programme will include a brief summary of the discussions around research information management held in Valletta.
