VRE4EIC project (euroCRIS is one of its participants) will organise in May 2016 a workshop on Open Data Sharing. This workshop is part of the 16th CeDEM Conference that will be held at the Danube University Krems (Austria).
As from August 1st, 2016 Elly Dijk will take over Arjan Hogenaar's position in the euroCRIS Board as the euroCRIS Secretary.

EUNIS and euroCRIS launched in April 2015 a joint survey aiming to collect data on the information systems in use in Europe to support the Research Area. The scope of this joint EUNIS and euroCRIS CRIS/IR survey, was to collect information on CRIS and IR technical solutions that support Research and to analyse their relations with other systems used within Higher Education Institutions. The survey report was published on March 1, 2016.

Current Research Information Systems (CRISs) and Institutional Repositories (IRs) are two main components of the Research Information Management realm. The rising strategic importance of CRISs and IRs for higher education and research institutions is linked to the need of fostering research and innovation.
Within the framework of a Partnership Agreement signed in 2014, EUNIS, the European University Information Systems Organization (www.eunis.org), and euroCRIS, the International Organization for Research Information (www.eurocris.org) have launched a joint survey aiming to collect as much data as possible on the information systems currently in use in Europe to support the Research Area. The results are presented in this report.
