As from December 1st, 2015, the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) tightened its granting conditions in the area of Open Access. This means that all publications emerging from a 'call for proposals’ published by NWO after this date must be immediately accessible to everybody from the moment of publication.
RDA will have its 7th plenary in March 2016 in Tokyo. The conference will be co-organised by the Japanese Science and Technology Agency (JST). Theme is: Making data sharing work in the era of Open Science

ETD2016, the 19th International Symposium on Electronic Theses and Dissertations, will take place from July 11 to July 13, 2016, at Lille. The conference will be hosted by the University of Lille 3 and co-organized with the Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (NDLTD), an international organization dedicated to promoting the adoption, creation, use, dissemination, and preservation of electronic theses and dissertations (ETDs).
