As mentioned in the Call for Proposals section of the website for the CRIS2022 Conference that was held May 12-14, 2022 in Dubrovnik (Croatia), the CRIS2022 proceedings will be published towards the end of 2022 in a special issue of Procedia Computer Science. This is the venue where the proceedings for previous editions of the CRIS conference series have also been published – see the CRIS2018 Umeå, CRIS2016 St Andrews and CRIS2014 Rome proceedings.
The progress in the publication of the CRIS2022 papers will be summarised on this webpage. This is mainly addressed to the contributors to the proceedings, so that they can keep track of the process.
As of Oct 27, 2022 the first notifications for CRIS2022 papers moving into production have started arriving from the editor of the special issue of Procedia Computer Science where the proceedings will be published. These notifications have the following message subject: "PLEASE TAKE ACTION, Production has begun on your article [PROCS_43XXX] in Procedia Computer Science" and include a link to the Rights & Access form that corresponding authors must complete before the paper can continue its progress towards publication. These Rights & Access forms for CRIS2022 papers offer an an option to select a CC BY 4.0 licence for the published paper, which is new -- all previous CRIS conference proceedings had been published under a (not ideal) CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 licence. Corresponding authors are encouraged to select this CC BY 4.0 licence for their papers, as this will allow maximum re-use by any reader as well as text and data mining on them.
These notifications are taking a bit longer to arrive for some CRIS2022 papers. This is because some papers required some minor updates (missing PDF version for some, fixed formatting issues for other ones) and may as a consequence take an extra day or two to enter the production queue than those which entered it unchanged from the original submission.
As of Oct 13, 2022 the first round of feedback on the submitted full versions of the proceedings has been received from the editor of the special issue of Procedia Computer Science where they will be published. This Excel file summarises the issues they have identified. Authors have already been contacted about this and asked to send their updated versions back to euroCRIS if/where applicable. The deadline provided by the journal editor for this submission of updated versions is Oct 16. Such a short notice is aimed at ensuring the CRIS2022 proceedings are published in the same year the conference was held.
As of Sep 6th, 2022 the full versions of the CRIS2022 papers provided by the contributors have been shared with the editor for the special issue of Procedia Computer Science where they will eventually be published. A list of the submitted papers is shown below together with a few comments on specific submissions stemming from a quick check the euroCRIS editors have conducted prior to submission to double-check the format for these full papers matched the requirements the editor had issued. No action is required on these comments until we hear back from the editor at Procedia.
The next step will be the sharing of the feedback provided by the editor. This typically includes a number of issues to be addressed by the contributors for papers that do not completely meet the format requirements in the Procedia template. Once this feedback is received by euroCRIS, the comments will be posted here and a notification will be sent to the authors.
