Board adopts new project management procedures
As euroCRIS is increasingly involved in international projects the Board has observed a need for clear procedures regarding euroCRIS project participation and management.
In its meeting on the 10th of February 2014 the Board assessed and adopted a document describing the organisation within euroCRIS, the selection and management of project proposals, recruitment of staff for contractual project work, the selection of staff, the contractual relationship between euroCRIS and the member undertaking project work, project management, financial management and administrative procedures. In the new Secretariat euroCRIS may rely on the DANS project bureau, which has a lot of experience with EU projects; furthermore the requirements and opportunities for outsourcing of the financial administration are investigated, since the workload goes far beyond the voluntary commitment to work in a euroCRIS Board position.
The document serves to ensure fair opportunities for all members to participate in contractual project work and accurate administration, with special regard towards participation in EU Framework Programmes (Horizon 2020). In cases where contractual work is commissioned in internally funded projects, these procedures will be applied accordingly.

PASTEUR4OA
PASTEUR4OA (Open Access Policy Alignment Strategies for European Union Research) aims to support the European Commission’s Recommendation to Member States of July 2012 that they develop and implement policies to ensure Open Access to all outputs from publicly-funded research.
PASTEUR4OA will help develop and/or reinforce open access strategies and policies at the national level and facilitate their coordination among all Member States. It will build a network of centres of expertise in Member States that will develop a coordinated and collaborative programme of activities in support of policymaking at the national level under the direction of project partners.

CERIF-CRIS Reference Implementation (CC-REFIM) and CERIF compatibility testing system
The project goals are:
-
To provide a reference system able to reliably check and confirm CERIF compatibility of
- (a) CERIF-CRIS software platforms (e.g. PURE, CONVERIS, Symplectic Elements, Research in View, etc.) and
- (b) individual operational CERIF-CRIS systems currently in production, for example institutional, national or international CRIS (e.g. OpenAIREplus, EuroRIs-Net+).
- To develop an open system that will be available for any interested party to study and understand CERIF down to the implementation level.
