VRE4EIC project (euroCRIS is one of its participants) will organise in May 2016 a workshop on Open Data Sharing. This workshop is part of the 16th CeDEM Conference that will be held at the Danube University Krems (Austria).
The workshop is entitled “Virtual Research Environments: Obtaining new insights by sharing Open Data for interdisciplinary Research Purposes”. The objective of the workshop is to elicit, refine and discuss requirements for a secure and trusted Virtual Research Environments that integrates Open Government Data and open research data for researchers from multiple disciplines. Topics that will be discussed are open data, open access, open and collaborative government, and trus creating trust. The discussions that will take place will help VRE4EIC to develop and further specify the requirements of the e-VRE technology. The workshop will presumably held on May 19th, 2016. As soon as this date is fixed officially, we will announce this as a euroCRIS news item.
VRE4EIC project intends to change the life of 70.000 European researchers, by providing them supporting tools for collaborative, multi-disciplinary data-driven science, as needed to tackle critical societal challenges such as climate change and energy sustainability.
