A new monthly euroCRIS webinar will be devoted to the Caplab software developed by the French AMUE (Agence de mutualisation des universités et établissements d'enseignement supérieur ou de recherche – shared-services agency for universities and other higher education and research Institutions) as an application for research labs where the activities, projects and research outputs of Units of Research can be stored.

The international CRIS community first had a chance to learn about Caplab in the course of the presentation "Plans for joint Research Information System implementation at French Universities and Research Institutions" delivered in May 2015 by Romain Thouy, then Research Information System Project leader at AMUE. This presentation was part of the programme for the Spring 2015 euroCRIS Membership Meeting that AMUE hosted in Paris, and described the plans for developing a number of solutions for French Universities and Research Centres.

A few years later, Caplab is already operational and being piloted at a number of research-performing organisations in France. The webinar will address its features – including system interoperability – and goals, its development and implementation process and the plans for its gradual rollout across French research institutions.

The webinar will be delivered by Carine Bougnague, institutional relations officer, Pascal Perotin, Caplab Head & Bertrand Mocquet, digital expert, at AMUE and will be chaired by euroCRIS Board member Joachim Schopfel at the University of Lille, France. The session will start at 3:30pm CEST and run for approximately 90 minutes, with a final 30 minutes devoted to a Q&A with the audience.
